Nagasaki-Hiroshima Memorial

Sixty-two years ago tomorrow (Thursday), the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. Alliance for Global Justice will be using this opportunity to bring attention to the growing stockpile of nuclear weapons, and the problems associated with nuclear energy.

We will meet at the “Nuclear Rock” just southeast of Hamilton Hall on the Iowa State campus at 7:30 PM. From there, we will hold a candelight procession to Lake Laverne, where we plan to float paper lanterns, to remember those who died.
