You may have noticed that the tags were searching through all of wordpress.com, and not just Angry with Unicorns. This somewhat irked me, and I’m sure that it annoys you sometimes, too. I’ve fixed it, and if you own a wordpress.com blog, here’s what you can do to make tags work the way you would expect them to.
On your Dashboard, click on “Appearance” and then “Extras”. Check the box labeled “Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way” and click “Update Extras.”
Yes, it’s threatening to take some traffic away, but I don’t write this blog to be a part of a social networking thingy, and I organize my blog by tag, not category.
