For those wanting to track Hurricane Irene. That is one fucking enormous storm.
The Hurricane Watch Net will be active. Their web page says it will activate Saturday, August 27th at 0630 Eastern (1030 UTC) on 14.325 and 7.268 MHz. The ARRL also has a dedicated page here. That page has links to several FAQs (including “How can I halep on-the-air?”) and links to local and regional nets that will be likely to pass Irene-related traffic.
