My notes on the TYT MD-2017

  1. The programming cable is just a passive device. This means the radio must be connected to the cable and turned on before your computer will be aware of the connection.
  2. The programming software (“CPS”) is included with the firmware updates at www.tyt888.com.
  3. TYT is really fond of RAR files, so you’ll need something like 7-Zip or WinRAR.

UPDATE: I got everything working and talking on a local DMR repeater. I’ll post more when I feel up to it tomorrow.

FT-70R Battery Problems? Update the firmware…
