It’s International Talk Like A Pirate Day!
Hurricane Ike is heading for Texas instead. If you live on the Gulf, feel free to move to Iowa. Although, things do get rather cold around here, we don’t have hurricanes.
I’d hate to be anywhere *near* the Gulf Coast right now. I wonder if we learned our lessons from Katrina? I think the Mother Earth hates America, or something.
Lots of places in Iowa are under water or are about to be under water. They’re evacuating my hometown. Check out the Des Moines Register’s coverage.
