The path forward

I can't stop thinking about Liam Conejo Ramos, the 5 year old ICE used as bait and then sent to a concentration camp. I know that attorneys have been able to reach him and his father, both of whom were trying to emigrate the right way (they were seeking asylum, for God's sake), and they're as OK as they can be in the circumstances. But the monsters came after the kids, and I can't let that go.

Our response must still be non-violent, otherwise we will just play into the monsters' hands, but do not think that justice will not be sought. The resistance must not back down. We must keep up the pressure.

When this national occupation is over, we will need so much justice, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Violent outcomes and punishments will be tempting but we must resist if we want to avoid a cycle of violence and suffering. There will be no other way.

But I will never forget. I wish there was a just God, so that all these monsters would burn eternally in Hell.
